When the hurricanes of 2005 devastated the Gulf Coast, AACD members in the area suggested that the immediate need was for direct help to the traditional disaster relief agencies, such as the Red Cross, which could provide food, water, shelter, and medical attention. Along with many other dental associations, the AACDCF posted links on www.aacd.com where generous members could donate, and the AACDCF is grateful that so many members donated.
